Johan Johansson has served as Group CFO of Viaplay Group since 1 December 2025. He joined the company in 2024 as Group CFO and Co-CEO of Viaplay Group’s Swedish operations.
Before returning to Viaplay Group (MTG), Johan was CFO and Deputy CEO of Gilion (formerly Ark Kapital). He also served as CEO and Board Member of Daniel Wellington, and prior to that, as CEO of the telecom operator Three in Sweden.
Johan began his career at Modern Times Group (MTG), where he spent ten years in various senior positions, including CFO & COO of MTG Sweden and Vice President of Finance and Operations.
He holds degrees from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Stockholm University.
