We are Viaplay Group
On 18 May 2022, we took an important step on our journey as the leading streaming challenger and changed our company name to Viaplay Group. After four years as Nordic Entertainment Group, it was time for a new name to reflect the company we’ve become:
- We’re expanding internationally and continue growing in the Nordic region.
- Our Viaplay streaming service is growing very quickly and is now our biggest single source of revenue, as well as our most recognisable brand.
- Streaming is relevant to every part of our business, and for everyone at our company.
Viaplay is today available direct-to-consumer in every Nordic and Baltic country, Poland, the Netherlands, the UK, the US and Canada. By the end of 2025, we will have at least 12 million subscribers. At the same time, our branded content concept, Viaplay Select, makes Viaplay's compelling storytelling available to partners around the world.
In the Nordic and Baltic countries, Poland, the Netherlands and the UK, Viaplay offers a unique combination of Viaplay Series, Films and more, international films and series, kids content and premium live sports. In the US and Canada, the service will provide a ‘best of the Nordics’ line-up that includes both Viaplay Series, Films and more, and selected third-party content.
Our radio and advertising sales businesses have been rebranded to Viaplay Group Radio and Viaplay Group Ad Sales respectively. We’ve already reorganised our studio operations as Viaplay Studios in September 2021.
As part of the rebranding, our share ticker on Nasdaq Stockholm has changed from ‘NENT B’ to ‘VPLAY B’.
